Units and combined arms
Ten units on land, at sea and in the air. Each beats some and loses to others: the army that combines them wins.

Infantry
The backbone of every army and the only cheap way to hold ground. Infantry captures cities, holds them, and fights best on closed ground (forests, mountains, cities) where tanks lose their edge.
Tanks
Fast, tough and hard-hitting: tanks crush infantry and artillery in the open and are the fastest way to exploit a gap in a front.
Artillery
Artillery fires from long range and is the best tool to break a fortified city. It needs a moment to set up after moving.
Fighter
Fighters own the sky. They intercept bombers, duel other fighters and scramble from their base against aircraft that come close.
Bomber
Bombers strike tanks, artillery, ships and missile launchers from further away than any other aircraft, and damage cities too.
Destroyer
The workhorse of the sea. Destroyers sink convoys (troops crossing the sea) and other ships, and bombard coastal cities and troops from range.
Aircraft carrier
A mobile airfield. A carrier holds aircraft and extends their range wherever it sails, so it takes your air force across oceans.
Mobile launcher
A missile launcher on wheels. It deploys, prepares and fires area missiles at enemy troops and buildings far away.
Mobile missile defense
A mobile anti-missile battery. Once deployed it intercepts enemy missiles flying through its coverage, then needs time to reload.
Missile submarine
The most expensive unit in the game: a submarine that launches missiles from the sea, after stopping for a few seconds.
